“Antidote” is AV’s third and final single off of her debut EP, “Guess I’m A Ghost.” Filled with self-empowerment and self-acceptance, “Antidote” reflects on a relationship where she felt the opposite of that.

“I wrote “Antidote” in 2019 and the idea for the song actually came from a songwriting prompt that my music mentor, Georgia English, showed me. I had been in a real creative drought during that time, and writing this song really helped me escape that.
The premise of the song is someone who is reflecting on a period in their life where they were wronged by someone else, and they are grateful that it happened because it inevitably made them stronger. I had gone through a tough time where I had been wronged by someone, and I was angry at them for a while, but eventually I realized that the entire situation made me stronger and more confident.
The lyric, “Thank you for the hell you put me through, cause now I love myself which is more than you could ever do” really sums up the meaning behind the song. By releasing this song, I hope that someone who is experiencing a similar situation will recognize that they will become stronger and emboldened because of their trauma, and that it will not weaken them.” AV
