What’s your story as an artist?

It all started when I was born on April 7, 1997 in Montreal, Quebec. I grew up in Mississauga, Ontario where I attended Ruth Thompson Middle School, and Stephen Lewis Secondary School. I was born in Quebec; I basically only know a few words in French. I was about the age of 8 when I first picked up an instrument and was introduced to music. When I was younger my parents owned a small clothing brand and had a small boutique in a market located in Mississauga, Ontario. This was a game changer for me. When I was little, I would tag along with my parents on the weekends going to their clothing brand store and would wander around nearby shops beside them. I saw a shop with some instruments inside it. Stumbling upon the small music store for the first time was the beginning to my pop music career. The store would introduce many different types of instruments every so often. I went from picking up my first guitar, learning my basic chords, picking up rhythm skills on percussion drum sets out on display, to then being introduced to a microphone where I realized that vocals were my calling. For the most part, I’m a self-taught singer, musician. I’ve educated myself abundantly with knowledge from peers, school teachers, and YouTube/online programs. Later into my career I’d seek knowledge from incredible vocal coaches to further my skill set. Before any of my pop music happened, I was heavily involved with school talent shows, music events showcasing and performing. Any talent show that I got accepted in, I would always get the grand finale closing acts. I just love being an entertainer.

What do you want your music to communicate?

Music has always been the # one source of me getting in tune with my emotions, almost as if I was healing. When I was young when people couldn’t be there for me, music was. It always was. As I grew up and found my talents, I knew my voice was given to me to create for the world and help others also feel in tune with their emotions, heal, feel good, and just feel good vibes.

What are some sources of inspiration for your storytelling?

Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber, Addison Rae, Pencils of Promise, Bob Proctor, Jay Shetty, and many more. “Inspire the world to try”. I’ve been blessed to have been recognized and even work with some of the names I’ve mentioned above. The lessons they have taught me, the experiences they have shared, and the way they guided me to increase my ability in life, means a ton to me. I’m beyond grateful for all of their contributions, big or small. It has brought me here to this day.

Who is an artist that you look up to more than others today?

There isn’t a person in its singularity that I look up to above all, but more so a group of collective people that have been very impactful for me. Some friends and others such as Stefan Benz, Addison Rae, Omer Fedi, Nick Uhas, Shane Nagy, Tiagz, Chase Hudson, Marc Damelio. They’re all great people. And they’ve always sparked kindness in a way that I sometimes find rare to see in others.

What’s the record or artist that made you realize you wanted to be an artist?

‘Let Me Love You’ by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber. The very first time I heard that song I immediately fell in love with pop music. The way pop music gives clarity in your ears, the vocals being right up in the front while the instruments backed up the singer and at the same time brought the voice into the main focus of the listener — I just loved how it all sounded together. Producers like Max Martin and Josh Gudwin, truly are remarkable and have a huge influence on how my music comes together as well.

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about

I met Trinity back in 2019 during my trip to LA and ended up becoming friends with her in the most divine way possible. My spiritual friend who is also a life coach, Adam KG, introduced me to Trinity Rose. Her and I clicked very well. Even beyond music. We talked about baking, cooking, more baking and how not to open the oven while baking cookies or else you’ll ruin the “science experiment”, crystals, meditation, spirituality, tarot reading, dogs, cats, the beach, and tons more. She’s just super cool. So I had a song I wrote a few years back, and it sounded cool but wasn’t really hitting the way I wanted it to. That song was ‘I Promise’ and I shelved that demo. But when I met Trinity and heard her voice something struck an idea and I decided to re open the project. I sent the song to her and asked her of her thoughts on how it sounded and she sent me back some vocals to the song. It was AMAZING. Then, everything clicked. I knew exactly what to do with the mix and re arranged all the instrumentals and the song structure and re built it. The song went from a very messy demo to the clean cut song that you hear now. Trinity Rose recorded her vocals in Malibu, and I recorded mine in Toronto. She flew out to Canada a few months after the song was recorded and we filmed the music video for it with Cinemaray Films in Streetsville, Ontario.

What inspires your sound?

Artists like Justin Bieber, Johnny Orlando, Gunnar Gehl, Daniel Skye, AJ Mitchell are a couple to name that inspire my sound. Some producers that really got me going on the studio side are Josh Gudwin, Omer Fedi, and Max Martin.

What’s your favorite tune of yours?

My favourite tune of my own song would have to be ‘I Promise’ at the moment. I really love how it came out. Otherwise, either ‘We’re in Paradise’ or ‘INTHEMOOD’. My favourite tunes to listen to outside of my own music, honestly right now it’s lofi jazz. Really just sets the mood and brings me to peace.

What are some things you really want to accomplish as an artist?

Just really growing a healthy community that’s filled with love, compassion, and care. I can’t wait for shows because I’ll finally be able to see my fans. This is all about building something that we all can enjoy together.

Favorite lyric you ever wrote?

Great question. Tough one. “Both our lips tighter than our hands tied.” I really enjoyed that one. Really dramatic.

Was there ever a moment when you felt like giving up?

All the time. I hate being alone in this business. But it’s what got me to where I am now. Doing the journey alone is what got me the incredible team I have now and I’m very thankful for those people in my life.

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

Things are just happening on this planet. And things will always continue to just happen. So just exist, enjoy, live, laugh, breathe.

Where do you think the next game changer will be in the music industry and entertainment scene?

Honestly, you never know. Things are changing every day and it moves fast. Today it’s Tik Tok. Yesterday was Instagram. A month ago, it was YouTube. Tomorrow it could be a brand-new platform or creation that just helps fans find their desired music instantly. I’m always excited for the change.
