NYC-native indie singer-songwriter and multi-disciplinary artist Grace Annabella Anderson is set to release her debut album, Art, Baby, on Friday, February 6.

A deeply introspective body of work, Art, Baby unfolds across thirteen emotionally rich tracks that shimmer with poetic lyricism, confessional storytelling, and moments of quiet reckoning. Drawing inspiration from artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Faye Webster, and Joni Mitchell, Anderson channels a similarly intimate emotional resonance—music that sits with nostalgia, disillusionment, and desire rather than rushing past it.

Produced in Nashville at The Planetarium alongside Thomas Dulin, the record feels expansive yet personal, grounded in subtle arrangements that leave room for Anderson’s voice and writing to take center stage. Each song reads like a vignette—full-feeling and unguarded—tracing the evolution of an artist learning how to be seen without losing herself in the process.

The album’s title track arrived recently with an accompanying music video, directed by Samantha Joia (HBO’s The Welcome Table, Pursuit of Butterflies). Visually striking and conceptually restrained, the video places Anderson in a cloud of pink tulle, framed as a living painting within a gilded border. From there, it follows her through a cinematic Manhattan as she quietly reconstructs her identity—moving beyond the narrow, romanticised lens of the distant artist toward something freer, more self-defined.

Previously released singles from Art, Baby—including “Love Potion,” “Take It Back,” “Halfway,” and most recently “Transgressor”—offer glimpses into the album’s emotional palette. From tender indie-folk moments to a more recent flirtation with indie-pop textures, Anderson’s songwriting remains anchored by sincerity, vivid imagery, and melodic intuition.

A natural storyteller across mediums, Grace Annabella Anderson is a multi-faceted creative: actor, singer, model, published writer, and songwriter. She released her debut EP NYNETEEN in 2021, chronicling life at the threshold of early adulthood in New York City, followed by Bandages in 2023—a more mature exploration of intimacy, healing, and emotional nuance, underscored by her enduring love for the city she calls home.

Her 2025 single “Love Potion” marked a stylistic shift toward sun-drenched indie-pop, spotlighting a shimmering upper register and soaring melodic lines that hinted at the broader sonic world now fully realised on Art, Baby. A recent graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Drama and Creative Writing, Anderson continues to move fluidly between music, theatre, and visual art. She has performed with The Acting Company, Shakespeare on the Sound, and 54 Below, and is currently signed with Elite Model Management NY.

With Art, Baby, Grace Annabella Anderson steps confidently into her debut era—an arrival that feels less like a first statement and more like the natural continuation of an artist who has been quietly becoming herself all along.
