The EP sees Kit explore an intimate journey of self-love, queer identity, and the complexities of modern romance. The title track off the EP is accompanied with a music video directed by Wheeler Maurer, shot by Alan Hopkins and choreographed by Co-Exist dance collective, encapsulating the whirlwind nature of love through dynamic movement and the homely setting of a Thornbury share house.

I feel relieved to have ‘Romanticism’ out! It’s been a long time in the making and I feel proud to finally share it with everyone. I’m feeling more grounded within myself and comfortable in my body, so it also feels a b
What has it been like to release the previous singles?
I’ve enjoyed riding this new wave of Kit Genesis, it feels good to launch a project that feels authentically me and I’m feeling motivated to keep challenging my artistry. Although it can be a bit daunting putting my own music out and being vulnerable, I think it also feels quite cathartic.
How would you describe the EP as a whole?
Romanticism, following the trials and tribulations of romance and finding deep queer love, while also embracing the power in their identity through their journey of self-love and acceptance.
Each track varies sonically, encapsulating different moods and stories, but I think overall it has a lure of simplicity, creating an intimate and easy-listening experience.
What have been some highlights while releasing each track?
My biggest highlight was ‘R.I.P Kit’s Tits’! It was such a special night filled with queer love and joy!
