Liv Monaghan’s artistic journey unfolds against the backdrop of her Irish roots and her chosen home in Paris. Recognized as an indispensable figure in the Parisian music scene, she has earned praise as “an artist worth keeping a close eye on.”

Living Beat’ is the second offering from Liv Monaghan’s eagerly anticipated new album. In contrast to the mellow “masterclass in gentlefolk” vibe of the first single, ‘July,’ this latest release is an energizing, tribal-nuanced tune, showcasing vocal gymnastics and improvisation. Infused with an unmistakable flavour of Irish traditional music, ‘Living Beat’ arrives just in time for the Saint Patrick’s festivities.

The song delves into themes of art deco architecture and techno nests, yet its sound is deeply rooted in ancient and earthy tones. “Living Beat” serves as a tantalizing preview of the upcoming album, exploring the intersection of femininity and nature within the context of urban and industrial settings. It’s a compelling race to reconcile our place between these worlds, driven by the rhythmic pulse provided by Serbian musician Sava Medan on double bass and percussion, and the skillful guitar work of French-Iranian artist Soheil Tabrizi Zadeh.
