The rock quarter gears up for a full EP coming out in the fall while telling us all about their new single ‘Further Away”

“Further Away is one of my favorite tracks off this upcoming record. I feel like it has a uniqueness about it, the way it traverses through a few different sonic landscapes in just a few minutes. I feel like that’s something you don’t hear as often in music these days, but it’s some of my favorite music to listen to.

Lyrically the song is about how as time goes on, you drift further away from certain people, places, & moments. Whether intentional or unintentional, for better or worse, it’s something that happens to all of us. Just a part of life. We all get caught looking back from time to time. Some choose to live in that past, others live in the now.” – Mike Scott

“This song was a lot of fun in the studio. After we were done recording all the up-tempo barnburners, we turned the lights down and tried our best to channel the gods of 90s Alt Rock like Jonny Greenwood or Filter. Radiohead is the top of the mountain, and it felt good to mess around on the bunny hill for a run.

Mike and Jon really outdid themselves with the songwriting on this one. I remember feeling emotional the first time I heard the demo, and knew immediately where it could land sonically. We manifested the outro in the studio without much of a road map, and those are always the most exciting tracks to tackle.” – Seth Rentfrow
