“I definitely write from real emotions,” Rosie observes. “There are a lot of specific lyrics. The song reveals more and more as it goes on. It’s meant to be conversational and poetic.
When you listen to one of my songs, I want you to feel like you’re going to see a movie. I met Halsey in Whole Foods, and I was super inspired by meeting her. She followed me on Instagram and said I could send her music. I was on such a high I wanted to lean into her style. It was a huge inspiration for ‘Fucked Up Summer’.”
Her first single and artist statement – “Coping” – Rosie amassed 40 million+ combined streams, charting on 14 different Spotify Viral 50 charts, landing Top 20 on the Global Viral Chart.
And now she gears up for the sophomore EP ‘Golden Age’ to be released via NETTWERK in August.
