NoMBe – Sand In My 3rd Eye
Do you ever feel like life is killing your vibe? Like it’s stunting your spiritual development? You’re not alone, and NoMBe certainly hopes to help with this, a song that he describes as “one of [his] proudest pieces of work”, and perhaps rightfully so, as it reaches deep into his musical influences, unearthing a sonic revival of 1970s Bossanova/Tropicalia/Latin fusion inspired by bands like WAR and Santana.Lyrically, this track delves into personal and spiritual growth while keeping in mind that we’ve all just begun evolving in that regard and that it’s ok if you sometimes fail or feel like it’s going slowly
Emmy Adelle – you make me feel alive
What about love? What about its amazing power? If you are of have ever been in love, you know it can be an overwhelming feeling that makes the world well worth the hassle, and so does Emmy Adelle in this brilliant pop track that reflects on some people’s ( but not just romantic interests)seemingly preternatural ability to just make it all feel better. Subtextually it is also about how the pursuit of a passion such as music and creativity can be so rewarding and invigorating at times that the same effect easily appears.
Scout Willis – Take Me
You just know that contemplating the awesome power of mother nature is most certainly the first muse that the first musicians ever had, and countless ages later, during our little space-time corner of human civilization -specifically in Italy- Singer-songwriter and Venusian magician Scout Willis watched a thunderstorm that inspired “Take Me, which she describes as “an ode to coming back into your life outside the context of partnership, and even though it’s ostensibly sung to a lover it’s really a love song to myself.”
DAB – RENDEZVOUS FT. Jeffery Miller
DAB must have cast a spell with the previous song, because this next one is very much a whole Venusian vibe. “RENDEZVOUS” is the utmost expression of smooth, enticing sensuality in music.
Grammy Award-winning artist from Decatur, Alabama, Dustin “DAB” Bowie is celebrated for his impactful songwriting and production across R&B, rap, hip-hop, and country music. s. After years of elevating other artists, DAB is now focusing on his own solo project, showcasing his independent spirit and creative vision, with this collab with Jeffrey Miller being his sophomore solo release.
HIDDEN FORTRESS – Electric Skeleton
What makes this machine of blood and tissue and bone tick? and why? Existentialism is an endless wellspring of questions and thoughts that have and will continue to inspire works of art in all disciplines, the latest of which come to mind is this awesome psychedelic synthwave track by HIDDEN FORTRESS, which dares to ask the unanswerable question about the origins, meaning and purpose of life and all its perplexing absurdities.
The song boasts what’s by far the most trippy and entertaining music video you’ll likely watch today.
Luke Borchelt – Frostbit Hands
And now to something completely different, a very welcome and healthy serving of Americana country-rock with a thickly layered sound and beautifully vulnerable lyricism, which comes from his debut album “Every Rain” which he describes as “…a testament to what you can do without leaving where you’re from.
The first thing to love is Luke Borchelt’s warm and rustic vocals. The second bit is the wall-of-sound mix to his arrangement that gives our ears a lot of places and uniform textures to explore- But what about the third thing? Well, it’s gotta be his honest and unfettered approach to soul-baring in his lines, offering a surprisingly candid song that -I feel- encourages to open ourselves up a bit with others.
