Tell us about yours tory as an artist
My story all started with a show called Hannah Montana and a girl named Miley Cyrus. I loved how she was able to balance both being a popstar and a student. I ended up singing at the talent show that year. It was that day in 2nd grade where I fell in love with music and still haven’t lost that feeling. I started taking stage performance lessons, acting classes, singing lessons, etc. Anything that could help me further myself into this career I would sign up for and still want to do more.
What do you think is the most important aspect of your life right now?
I am focused on my mental and most importantly my physical health. I think you can take things for granted and not realize how lucky you are. I love to do yoga which involves mind, body and soul.
What makes this song special in your opinion?
This song is special because it’s different from the other songs I have released. It’s more focused on punk pop than just being plain pop. Pop is such a big umbrella and you can always explore.
What inspired this track?
This track was inspired by my struggles with my anxiety. I have paranoia that comes with my anxiety and it can be difficult to navigate. I have had days where it’s hard to leave my house. I have always been honest with my mental health and never ashamed by it. So I wanted to write a song about my mental health struggles.
What are some of the core messages here?
The core message is you aren’t alone in your problems and you don’t know what people are going through. It’s hard to see mental health struggles when you look at someone. But just because you don’t see their scars doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
How do you think tik tok and social media are contributing to change an artist’s career?
The idea of having an app that could change your life forever is incredible. It has completely changed the music industry for the better. It has given everyone a chance to make their dreams come true.
What excites you about your life?
The thing that excites me is the progress I continue to make in my career/mental health. I think when you invest in self-help it can truly change you for the better. Self-help can look different for everyone so it’s not a one size fits all. But sometimes you need to take a step back and do what will work for you.
What are some of your core values as a human being?
My core values are honesty and respect with other people. I am a very blunt person but I think that’s what people respect most about me. No one deserves to be lied to and I never want to be seen as that. I also admire my core strength that I have which truly drives me towards my goals.
What are your projects for this year?
I am currently working on my debut ep which will be coming very soon. I am beyond excited for people to hear new music and hear their thoughts.
