Alternative rapper BLAKSWAN is dropping a new track and music video. Titled “MY RELIGION,” the single showcases BLAKSWAN’s moody, hard-hitting flow and poetic lyrics.

BLAKSWAN is more than a musician. The multifaceted independent artist combines his background of filmmaking and classical training in the fine arts of music to create genre-bending tracks that unify cultural and artistic expressions. With his unique attitude, intentionality and fearlessness, BLAKSWAN embodies true artistry.

BLAKSWAN’s latest single “MY RELIGION” sees him revisiting what religion and God mean to him after years of growing up in a strict environment which the artist labels “almost completely non-spiritual, but oppressively religious.” Discovering his own coming-of-age through his independence from the church, BLAKSWAN identifies “pussy, money and fame” as his new religion – a blunt and honest epiphany that many artists now-a-days would stray away from confessing.

“A lot of parts of this song were the result of freestyling, letting my subconscious guide me from part to part,” BLAKSWAN said of the new track, explaining the frankness of the lyrics.
