On April 28th, rising R&B artist and USC student Taylor Contarino is set to release her deeply personal single, “i’ll hold space for you,” a poignant ballad that marks the first track from her upcoming EP focused on grief, healing, and emotional growth.

Written just weeks after the passing of her grandfather, who played a significant role in raising her, the single captures Taylor’s raw emotions and the transformative power of music as she processes her loss. With a sound that draws from the soulful influences of Summer Walker, Kiana Ledé, and Jhene Aiko, “i’ll hold space for you” is a gentle yet evocative track, spotlighting Taylor’s expressive vocals and poetic lyricism.

Taylor’s emotionally driven sound and vulnerable storytelling have already caught the attention of outlets like Remixd Magazine, Global Money World, and Mosaic of Minds. She recently opened for Babylon at The Moroccan Lounge in LA, further cementing her place as a compelling new voice in the R\&B scene. With her upcoming EP, Taylor Contarino invites listeners into a journey of healing, one song at a time.

“‘I’ll hold space for you’ is an emotional testament to my loving grandfather who helped raise me throughout my childhood, in the absence of my father. Lovingly known as ‘Pop Pop,’ he passed away three weeks ago, and creating this song alongside a multitude of healing-oriented tracks has been a huge part of my grieving and healing process, especially during a time where I’ve otherwise felt very numb. I plan to release this track as the lead single of a new EP centered on my healing and grief.” – Taylor Contarino
