An immersive, late-night cinematic release born from London sparks and Burning Man horizons

Artist, producer, DJ, and multidisciplinary creative Samantha Michelle returns with “Fall Deep,” a sweeping new single released via Elephant House Records that captures the magic of surrendering to possibility. Equal parts intimate confession and cinematic dance journey, the track distills the electricity of her live sets into a mesmerizing anthem built for wide-open nights, cross-cultural soundscapes, and the kind of emotional boldness that refuses to play small.

“Fall Deep” was born from a moment — the kind that hits unexpectedly and refuses to let go. While on tour, Samantha reconnected with an old friend, a spark that followed her from a whirlwind London night all the way back to the studio. “I was consumed by the depth of that feeling,” she says. “It was rare, and I wanted more of it for both myself and the world.”

With a run of Burning Man DJ sets ahead of her at the time, she channeled that intensity — nomadic, luminous, dust-drenched — into a track that bridges indie electronic, organic house, and global dance influences. The result is a sonic invitation to let chemistry, courage, and creativity collide.

“Fall Deep” also marks a pivotal milestone in Samantha Michelle’s evolution as an artist: her debut as both lyricist and vocalist. Her ethereal voice pulses above rolling grooves and subtle melodic tension, guiding listeners through a dreamlike journey that feels alive, expansive, and emotionally charged.

“‘Fall Deep’ is about your wildest dreams, whatever they may be,” Samantha shares. “It’s about falling deeply in love with the magic that can surround every moment if you have the courage to go deep — to really go there — to let your heart lead the way.”

It’s a track built for the open-hearted and the open-minded: the wanderers, the ravers, the romantics, and anyone ready to surrender to the pulse of something bigger than themselves.

A hypnotic ode to following the spark — wherever it leads.

“Fall Deep” was born from a whirlwind night in London and shaped by the spirit of Burning Man. How did those two worlds—urban chaos and desert transcendence—merge to form the soul of this track?

This wild night in London left me with a feeling I couldn’t shake, and needed to do something with. Working in the studio, my mind was also on the next adventure – Burning Man. I wanted to bring this feeling of deep connection with me, to sprinkle it out across the playa. With punchy bass lines and stabbing synths, the record captures the grit of the urban experience, balanced by ancient, softer, string instruments bringing a mystical, desert-set, sweeter vibe.

This single marks your debut as both lyricist and vocalist. What pushed you to step into that role now, and how did finding your voice shift the way you produce music?

I’d been wanting to sing on my music for a while, but singing is like baring your soul, so I was nervous. This record came from a uniquely personal place, and that’s the magic to it. It’s funny actually. I sat down in the studio and suddenly, I just knew that my voice and words would be the way forward with this one. So I pushed beyond my comfort zone, and what came out of it was the start of a whole new chapter with my music. Because as soon as I started creating in this way, my songs really felt like mine. And then playing them out for people, hearing my words – what I believe in and what want for the world – blasted out and chanted back to me… there’s really no feeling quite like that.

You describe the song as capturing a rare emotional spark that followed you across continents. How do moments of unexpected connection fuel your creative process?

My personal and creative life are totally enmeshed. My art is always drawn from my experiences, that’s why it feels authentic. Because it is. And in a world ruled by social media and projected falsities, I think authenticity is increasingly harder to come by. It’s something we have to cherish as its our source of truth and human connection.

Your DJ sets are known for their cinematic energy. How did you translate that same electricity into a studio recording without losing its spontaneity?

Music production is mathematical, so that creative energy has to be distilled and ordered. But I also don’t take myself too seriously, my approach is always playful. I put the unexpected together and build out what I call ‘teases’ in the structure of my songs, so they feel fresh, exciting, alive, ultimately, like an adventure.

“Fall Deep” bridges indie electronic, organic house, and global dance influences. What draws you to this hybrid sound, and how do you balance cultural inspiration with authenticity?

Travel is my number one source of inspiration. Exploration, and our ability as humans to defy barriers through connection to the art we make is what drives me. My desire to harmonize and build bridges is part of who I am. I went to the Middle East four times last year. I was amazed by how cultures in political conflict could still totally embrace the other’s music. There’s something about sound that transcends and brings us back to our roots. Organic instruments, sounds drawn from those found in nature, and tribal frequencies – subconsciously, these sonic traditions connect us to our own history as a species. There’s great comfort in that, especially in these times, where we all feel more divided then ever. It’s nice to be reminded that once upon a time, we all came from the same place. We were one.

Burning Man played a big role in the emotional DNA of the track. What is it about the playa that continues to reshape your creativity and personal philosophy?

Burning Man is a place where anything goes, there is a freedom and openness to the playa that’s unlike anywhere else. A spirit of playfulness and possibility. Which also lives at the core of my creativity. The playa will challenge you, and to thrive there, much like in the creative industries, you have to have trust, faith, and the courage to take chances and lean into opportunities. That’s very much in line with my personal philosophy – dive into the unknown, live in pursuit of magic, say yes to the wild ride.

You’ve performed at iconic venues from Berlin’s KitKat Club to NYC’s Webster Hall. How do different cities and audiences influence the stories you tell through your music?

My sets are always created live in the moment, inspired by the collective experience forming on the dance floor in front of me. Where I am creates the container and the shape of the experience. The KitKatClub is always a place to play and experiment. Berlin tends to take my sound in a bit of darker, naughtier, direction. Webster Hall was iconic in every way. Supporting Cascada called for a more commercial and nostalgic approach, which was really fun, and a felt a full circle loop for my teenage self.

Your career spans DJing, producing, filmmaking, and visual storytelling. How do these mediums inform one another when you’re building a narrative like “Fall Deep”?

I’m always thinking in terms of story, feeling, and audience impact, no matter what I’m creating. I want my work to make people feel the things I love to feel – joy, levity,  connection, and depth. I’m also a very visual person, so I’m always thinking how to integrate sound and image, how the two come together to create an experience.

You call the song a call to ‘loving and living daringly.’ What does living daringly look like for you right now—both as an artist and as a human navigating connection?

It means taking risks. Sending that text that makes you nervous. Using your own voice instead of hiding behind someone else’s. Putting yourself, your work, your art, and your heart out there. It can be scary and unnerving, but it’s the only way to go after your dreams.

Your residencies with brands like Dolce & Gabbana and WSJ have taken you from Cannes to Davos. How do you maintain your artistic identity while moving through such varied cultural spaces?

I’m very lucky to have such trust from these brands and my clients that I’m given creative autonomy as I sound score events and activations, which keeps my authenticity always intact. I stay true to myself regardless of the space I’m in. I love bringing my sound and energy to exotic and exciting places, like the World Economic Forum in Davos or the South of France. These sorts of magical settings are always inspiring and I’m grateful to get to be everywhere I get to go.
