Rising star Cassa Jackson drops a brand new release with the arrival of ‘Sophie.’ The song takes on a fluid dynamic, a polished end result captured perfectly by Cassa’s emotive vocal delivery and her distinctive brand of slick, intimate pop.

She says: “Writing this song was like therapy for me. It’s very special to me as it’s so personal and it really helped me make something good out of a bad situation. We’ve all had a ‘Sophie’ in our lives and I hope this song helps people.”

What do you think is the most important aspect of your life right now?

Friends and family and focusing on my career. I’m about to go on my first ever headline tour so there is a lot of rehearsing and preparation going on!

What makes this song special in your opinion?

This song is written from the heart about something upsetting, but I channelled it and made it into something uplifting that will hopefully help others going through the same situation.

What inspired this track?

Real life! It’s about when your ex goes off with that one person they told you not to worry about, like, straight after you break up.. I wanted to not let what happened get me down and so decided to turn it into an upbeat song.

What are some of the core messages here?

As the lyrics in the middle 8 say, ‘I know what I deserve, no need for second chances, it’s time to put me first’. It’s about self empowerment and knowing your worth.

How do you think tik tok and social media are contributing to change an artist’s career?

TikTok honestly changed my life. It allows you to reach a huge range of people, for free!

What excites you about your life?

No day is the same. One day I could be at a photo shoot getting glammed up, the next I’m writing songs in a studio. All the time i’m meeting cool and interesting people, it’s never boring!

Describe your music in 3 words or less

Sassy breakup bangers!

What is your ultimate goal as an artist?

To tour the world making music I love that other people relate to.
