You mentioned the album title got changed to ‘Crazy Life’ last minute? What happened there? Such an eloquent title. What inspired it?

“I’ve always wanted to call an album Crazy Life because life truly is crazy when you think about it. I always imagined the merch and how it would look visually –  I’m originally a graphic designer, so I always think about the visuals. I knew it would look so good, but to be honest, I wasn’t sure if the title suited the music. The album is quite conceptual and after working on the music, the visuals, the merch, and the whole story, it just totally made sense. “

What’s the craziest experience or anecdote you can recall in your own life?

I guess it must be when I first started making music and working with all the great artists that I’ve been working with.

How do you feel about being a Scandinavian artist? Does your culture and heritage play a role in your creativity at all?

I think everyone is influenced by our surroundings. It’s hard to not be. I’ve always wondered who I would have been musically if I never had been listening to music before, and someone gave me 10 albums. Like what music would I enjoy?

Your upcoming single is titled ‘Swirl’ Tell us about it

Swirl is a song about being caught in a little loop. We find our own patterns and we live all life differently and value different things.  This song is about maybe getting a bit too comfortable with not being 100% satisfied with your situation.

Your US tour is kickin off too. What can we expect from it?

I’m super excited to be back on the road. I can’t wait. I’m tired of just connecting with fans over the phone, I love meeting them. I need to meet them…to feel their energy and get inspired. I’ve  made so many new friends through music and live shows. It’s just gonna be a lot of fun. Some dancing and some crying.

What’s your #1 favorite city to play in the US?

I think it has to be NY. It just feels like home.

Do you feel a difference between a European crowd and an American crowd?

Definitely. Americans are amazing. Europeans too. It’s just us Norwegians who struggle to show excitement when we’re at shows.

You’ve been around for a long time and cultivated a devoted fan base, What’s the secret for longevity in your opinion?

I wish I knew. For me, the most important thing has been to just keep making and creating music.
