London based singer-songwriter Floss Jordan is pleased to announce a brand new release with the arrival of ‘Turbulence’, out on 23rd November. Channeling a refreshing honesty and energy, ‘Turbulence’ is a starkly earnest track, it blends genres and takes influences from the likes of Christine & the Queens and Björk, coupled with an evocative orchestral and cinematic pop feel produced by Ian Curnow, perfectly captures the essence of Floss’s sound and lyrical abilities.
“Turbulence is about the dynamics of a turbulent relationship and the feelings involved when someone is intent on creating ‘waves’ and provoking a reaction. It explores the swirling emotions of this sometimes romantic but volatile relationship. My musical inspirations include Florence and the Machine, Christine and the Queens and Kate Bush. Art exhibitions also inspire me and artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Tracey Emin and Picasso. Nature can be very inspirational too. I have been working on lots of material for an album and I will be launching a live set in 2024 with gigs to follow. I am also busy djing in London and over the New Year I will be djing in the Maldives which will be a very exciting start to 2024.”
