“This is my very first single ever! I have been working professionally in this industry for seven years and I am so excited to put out solo work on my own terms. As an LGBTQ person, it is important for us to get to tell our stories as we are.

I was falling out of love, and blaming it on my partner. I kept wanting them to change, but that was something I was projecting out of insecurity with myself. In an economy of song where singers never really take the fall or the blame, I am interested in taking a look at the parts of me that feel villainous, yet vulnerable.

Cannot wait for you to hear my debut EP, A Thousand Days, in spring 2022, produced by myself and a handful of Juno-winning friends!” Says Fox Revett

What’s your story as an artist?

I grew up studying classical music, and then I discovered pop music and making BEATS. There was no turning back. Would I prefer writing my compositions down in western notation on a piece of paper for an orchestra, or get to make music on my computer in a state of fun and play – like a video game? The answer to me is OBVIOUS.

What do you want your music to communicate?

I wanna tell my story as a queer guy, but I want to do it on the same platform as our main pop girlies. I want to communicate the eccentricities of my life.

What are some sources of inspiration for your storytelling?

My imagination! I think that there is so much power in allowing yourself to be imaginative and creative.

Who is an artist that you look up to more than others today?

Charli XCX. I just think she is on a whole other level of ingenuity, all while remaining a true-to-form POPSTAR.

What’s the record or artist that made you realize you wanted to be an artist?

Honestly, Lady Gaga. I was writing and producing EDM music at the start of my career, but I didn’t see any posters doing the story-driven dance music that I was. BOOM. Artpop comes out. I knew in that moment that I could make music for life.

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about

Someone New is a song I made about my ex boyfriend. It all started with a journal entry from 2018 that stayed with me for years since. I finally picked up the poem, sat at the piano and got to work on making a song. It’s all about wishing you didn’t have to break up with the person you’re with, because you already worked so hard to make it work!

What inspires your sound?

EVERYTHING. I love some wacky and WILD music, but I am fascinated by how I can make those weird songs and styles ACCESSIBLE to the masses. Recently interested in incorporating some funk into the new releases.

What’s your favorite tune of yours?

Of MINE? OOOoooOOooOh. Right NOWWWW, maybe “Just Don’t,” which comes out as the next single! OOOOOH. Hehehehe.

Where are some things you really want to accomplish as an artist?

I want to make chart topping hits! I hope I get to travel around the world and create for many different kinds of people.

Favorite lyric you ever wrote?

The bridge of “Someone New” means a lot to me, I mean, it’s been in my journal since 2018. “Everybody thinks you’re perfect, I think that you’re just a person / Everybody thinks you’re perfect, I’m just letting everyone down”

Was there ever a moment when you felt like giving up?

Constantly. But we push through. When you feel like giving up, it’s because you’re working hard – it should feel that way!

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

The best advice I ever got is to get your work out there! No matter what! Get out of your head, and get it out there! No one can hear your talent if it’s only in your dreams.

Where do you think the next game changer will be in the music industry and entertainment scene?

TORONTO. We on the way UP! So many exciting things going on here – MYSELF INCLUDED, hahaha!
