Few performers understand the power of spectacle quite like Ginger Minj, and on her latest release, she leans all the way in. Today, the RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 10 winner shares her exuberant cover of “Fabulous, Baby!” from Sister Act – The Musical, reimagining the beloved stage number with her signature blend of camp, charisma, and unapologetic star power.

Originally performed by Patina Miller, “Fabulous, Baby!” is a song built for theatrical excess — and Ginger treats it exactly as such. “Every ‘theatre queen’ lives for a moment like ‘Fabulous Baby,’ where you get to truly commit to the camp and just be the biggest, most over-the-top star on that stage,” she says. “It’s a pure, unadulterated diva moment that makes the crowd go wild!” The result is a joyful, high-gloss celebration of performance itself, delivered with knowing humor and undeniable vocal command.

The track arrives alongside a vibrant animated lyric video, amplifying its playful energy and Broadway-sized personality. It also serves as a first taste of what’s to come on The Broad’s Way EP, Ginger Minj’s upcoming collection of stage classics, slated for release in early 2026. True to its title, the project promises a loving, larger-than-life homage to musical theatre — filtered through Ginger’s uniquely theatrical lens.

Beyond the studio, Ginger Minj continues to dominate stages nationwide. Later this week, she brings her brand-new holiday spectacular to UC San Diego’s Epstein Family Amphitheater on December 5 and 6, adding yet another chapter to a year defined by momentum and reinvention.

Long before her Drag Race crown, Ginger Minj was already a seasoned entertainer — captivating audiences as a writer, producer, director, and performer with razor-sharp wit and a deep love for the stage. Over the past decade, she’s toured internationally, released four studio albums, and appeared in major film projects including Netflix’s Dumplin’ and Disney+’s Hocus Pocus 2. In 2023, she expanded her creative universe with Southern Fried Sass, a memoir-cookbook hybrid that blends Southern recipes with personal stories of resilience, humor, and self-celebration.

Most recently, Ginger stunned audiences with a show-stopping rendition of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, reaffirming her vocal prowess and Broadway roots. Offstage, she continues to build an expansive body of live work, including a long-running and critically acclaimed residency in Provincetown. She’s also fresh off an extensive North American run of “Hokus Pokus Live!”, performing for more than 22,000 attendees, and was just named to this year’s OUT100.

Looking ahead, Ginger Minj shows no signs of slowing down. She’ll soon star alongside RuPaul and fellow Drag Race legends in an Adam Shankman–directed action comedy — the first-ever theatrical feature from the Drag Race universe. With bigger stages on the horizon and new projects already in motion, Ginger Minj continues to prove that her next act is always her most fabulous yet.

The Broad’s Way EP arrives in early 2026.

Fabulous, Baby!” is such an unapologetically camp, full-throttle theatre moment. What drew you to this specific track, and what did you want to bring to it that felt uniquely Ginger Minj?

This is a song about knowing how wonderful you are and owning that out loud no matter what anyone else thinks. We’ve all felt that way sometimes, myself included. I’ve had this song on repeat for years, doing my makeup, any time I need that reminder that I’m fierce and fabulous just the way I am.

You’ve said every “theatre queen” lives for a moment like this. What’s your personal definition of “being fabulous,” both on stage and off?

Knowing exactly what you have to offer and sharing it with the world!

The single comes with an animated lyric video — super fun, super theatrical. How involved were you in shaping its visual world, and what were you hoping it would communicate about the song?

I was very involved. It was important for me to own the person I used to be with the person I’ve been working hard to become. No one knows my journey better than me, so I worked hand in hand with the animator to capture exactly what I had in mind.

You’re gearing up to release The Broad’s Way EP in early 2026. What can you tease about the project? Are there any stage classics you’re especially excited for people to hear you reinterpret?

Every song is a classic! As a life long theatre kid turned show tune diva, I can guarantee that every new track will make broadway lovers give a little gay gasp!

You were just included in this year’s OUT100, which celebrates queer innovators and icons. What does that recognition mean to you at this stage of your career?

It means everything. It’s always nice to be recognized for the work you do, but it’s even nicer when it comes from the people in your community.

You recently finished your massive Hokus Pokus Live! tour, performing for more than 22,000 fans. How did that experience reshape your relationship with your audience — and with your own artistry?

It just reiterated how much of a theatre girly I really, truly am at heart. I love performing in clubs, in movies, in tv shows, but there’s nothing like the shared experience of live theatre.

Winning RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 10 was a huge milestone. How did that victory shift your momentum creatively, and how has it influenced the projects you’re choosing now?

It drew a lot of attention towards me and my brand, so I’ve just been trying to use that to keep opening doors for new experiences! Having been in the “Drag Race” game for over a decade at this point, it feels like the timing is finally right for all of these positive, exciting steps forward.

You’ve built a career that moves fearlessly between music, theatre, drag, film, television, writing — truly a multi-hyphenate. What’s the through-line that connects all these versions of you?

Honesty. I value that above everything else. People can spot BS a mile away and if there’s already distrust between you and your audience, you’re fighting an uphill battle. I have always tried to ground my art, as silly as it may be, in open communication and truth. There’s a way to do that that’s still fresh and fun and funny.

You’re starring alongside RuPaul and fellow legends in the first-ever theatrical feature from the Drag Race universe. What can you share about stepping into an Adam Shankman–directed action comedy? How does it feel to help bring Drag Race to the big screen?

I can’t wait for people the see this film! It’s slick, it’s crazy, and it’s incredibly funny! I don’t think people are ready for the crazy world we have created. Adam Shankman is a legend in the directing game for a reason, his work is impeccable. And starring alongside JuJuBee and RuPaul? It doesn’t get any better than that. I just hope there’s a bloopers reel!

With The Broad’s Way EP on the horizon and more projects coming in 2026, What are the biggest intentions or artistic risks you want to lean into next year?

Everything! Broadway! Film! Music! Writing! Throw it all against the wall and see what sticks.
