With her debut drop Pink Hues released back in 2022, the Spanish and Venezuelan decent artist has delivered a slew of deeply authentic and personal moments with her music, exploring topics such as co-dependency, anxiety and love. Having studied fashion journalism and promotion at the London College of Fashion, the rising talent was encouraged by friend Hugo Silvani (Pale Waves) to follow her dream of becoming an artist and creating music and has currently been collaborating with the likes of H.LLS and Jeshi. Balancing her creative expressions across music and fashion spaces, ultravividpink walked for London based designer Sinead Gorey at London Fashion Week and has modelled in music videos for Rita Ora and Sainte and has received early support from BBC Introducing.
With further releases promised this year leading up to her hotly anticipated body of work, “Hate 2 Hate u” continues the exciting trajectory as ultravividpink looks set to carve a significant path in the London pop landscape.
Explaining the “Hate 2 Hate U” visualiser ultravividpink tells us: “I wanted to highlight how alienating going through heartbreak is. It’s a universal experience but it makes you feel like the loneliest person alive- hence the conceptualisation of me as an alien. Navigating it for the first time is rough. Ultra is all about colours. The visualiser itself was a very impromtu thing but we tried to capture vulnerability and perhaps a bit of bittersweet anger.”
Talking on the track ultravividpink tells us: “I wrote this song when I had been stuck in a rut with music. For the first time ever, I had my heart broken and didn’t really know how to feel myself again. My friend Hugo Silvani who is in a band called Pale Waves is an amazing producer and we had a session booked in. We were also working with a great writer and guitar player Sam Finklestein. I went in dreading the session, it had been months since my breakup and I couldn’t shake my ex off my brain. Hugo and Sam helped me so much and it ended up being one of the most cathartic sessions I ever had. I hope the song can help whoever feels the same, whoever feels crippled by a breakup. Once the writing was complete, Hugo got busy with his band’s album and I knew I had to have this song on my project, so I took it to my main producer/best friend Tim (AKA block) and he arranged it in the way you hear it now, including the amazing harmonies (he’s the harmony king). It means everything to me. It was truly made with love to combat the lack of love I was feeling for myself at the time.”
