Nashville-based dark pop rock band RIVALS have released their latest  single, “Superstar,” on September 12th. This powerful anthem is a bold declaration of self-love and empowerment,  fronted by vocalist Kalie Wolfe’s raw and unapologetic energy.

Wolfe opens up about the personal inspiration behind “Superstar,” stating:

“’Superstar’ is my anthem of empowerment, a clap back to the bullying I’ve faced, both in my childhood and even  now as an adult. Growing up, I was always the outsider—the scene kid in a world of preps and jocks—constantly  ridiculed and torn down. I thought I’d left that part of my life behind, but it turns out, some people never outgrow  their cruelty. This song is my declaration that I will no longer be anyone’s punching bag. I’ve worked too hard,  fought too many battles, and learned to love myself too much to let anyone tear me down. ‘Superstar’ is about  reclaiming my power and refusing to let anyone make me feel less than I am. It’s my way of letting go of the trauma  and standing tall.”
