A wild presence who is seemingly always looking to innovate by herself and for herself, the enigmatic Nikki Paige never releases a dull one, and her newest song  “GOAT” certainly isn’t going to be the first time she does.

Nikki has been in the entertainment industry for years, starting at the ripe young age of 11. She secured her first deal as a writer of country music, which evolved into so much more. Discovered by Barbara Orbison, wife of the late Roy Orbison, Nikki found a mentor in the industry where she could cultivate and develop her art. From then till now, Nikki is a woman with a mission to cultivate and create music that is purely and authentically her.

Nikki is truly a prolific songwriter with over 7000 songs to her name, many of which she’s sold off to other artists, and this is where the story of “GOAT”  begins. “I wrote this song for so many people but nobody wanted it. I tried to encourage it so badly.  I really believed in the concept, especially with ”You’re the GOAT“ with a boss artist rapping on it. It wasn’t my intention to ever sing it myself. They were all interested, however, they were taking too long.”

The song took years to ever come to fruition, and it would be after a very weird studio encounter where a  “big famous whatever rapper ” dropped by the studio at MF Recordz looking for free studio time, tried to get in on the action behaving rudely and even exposing himself. Two weeks later, the rapper in question would get in trouble for the very same behavior, this time on an airplane. “I didn’t know whether to laugh or smile. I just know his breath stunk and he was a goat.” Says Nikki.

With the help of Malibu Films and Director Kyle Russel, Nikki managed to bring GOAT to the audiovisual realm via an extremely entertaining and surreal music video that’s just as colorful as she is. Is it about her being the GOAT? Is it a takedown on those who see themselves as such but never quite stack up? We’ll let you figure that out as you take in the rapid-fire bars Nikki spews like hot coals and the trippy, saturated visuals.
