Brooklyn-native alt rock artist LEONE announces the release of his debut EP (thisbodyisntmine), out Friday, June 10. This emotionally raw EP takes listeners through a journey of learning to let go of things that are not serving you and fighting for the things that you love.”In many ways, writing this EP was my metamorphosis,” said LEONE. “It was me fighting for my art when all I had was myself to rely on.”

Produced by Peter Savad and co-produced by LEONE, the EP is dynamic in sound and ranges from intimate acoustic moments to full out anthemic rock choruses. LEONE tells a vulnerable story through this body of work, full of introspective conversations about love and life. “(thisbodyisntmine) is an epiphany as well as a realization of the disassociated state that I was in for the past couple of years.”

“One of the biggest messages of the EP for me was the fact that during the pandemic we all experienced (thisbodyisntmine). We experienced death of our old selves. Physical death of people around us. Death of relationships. Death of careers. To the point where we had no other choice but to be reborn.”

“(thisbodyisntmine) witnesses death, but in a really beautiful way. It also witnesses and experiences being reborn and awakened to what is really important.”

“This EP was literally written in the trenches, in real time. In a time that we literally ALL, for the first time EVER, were experiencing the same trauma simultaneously. I think it’s important to acknowledge these traumas and feelings that a lot of us are still just trying to process.”

“I feel like this EP & its messages are ALL OF OUR messages. It’s a reminder that this life is a gift.” LEONE
