Tell us about the genesis of your project. How did you get to where you are now?

Hard work, never giving up, and always believing and striving toward my dream.

What is the favorite song you wrote and why?

I love all my songs for different reasons. They all are a combination of real life situations and fantasy.

Who are your all time musical icons?

Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars and Mariah Carey.

What are some things to do to keep your inspiration alive?

It is always there. I am always inspired, even by the littlest moments in life. Music comes to me, I don’t necessarily go looking for inspiration. I live it every day.

Who are you binge listening to these days?

A real mix, from Omarion to Billie.

What’s your favorite movie or TV show?

Any comedy. I like “Schitt’s Creek” and I’m waiting for  “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to come back on.

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about

I spoke to the producer BlaqNmild (Drake, Beyonce) about the music I was going for. The track came first and then I worked on the lyrics. There were a lot of hands in it. My BreakOut Music Team did a lot of the arrangement. I have a great team behind me.

Do you have any peculiar pre or post show rituals?

I drink a lot of fresh lemon and pineapple juice

What’s the future looking like for you?

I hope performing on stage  as much as possible, but definitely acting in a feature film. My song “Mistletoe Kiss” is featured in a movie coming out this winter, called “The Drone that Saved Christmas”. I have a ton more music coming out.

Who inspires your style and aesthetics?

Anyone who is full out, who really goes for it on stage. Aesthetically, it is a combination of dancing and telling a story. I write my music so I deeply feel every word.

What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?

Being #1 on the iTunes Charts. That happened this year and was wild. I was above Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa. The Weeknd. Crazy

What do you think is the best way to make it as an artist nowadays?

Everyone has their own path.  You have to work harder and better than you thought you ever could. Beyond the tipping point, so to speak.  Be real and open to your fans. The people who love your music are everything to an artist. Make them feel how special they are to you by putting out genuine, relatable art.

What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?

That is easy. Get rid of the creepy people in the business. For every 1 good person in the business, there are 10 trying to hustle you.
