Speaking on how the song came together, Sammy explains:
“Ayo Beatz, S1mba and I arranged a studio session to work on another record. The session was moving so quick. S1mba and I wrote together and were bouncing ideas off each other so fluidly. It seemed as if it was all falling into place, from the melody to the lyrics, all matching the production amazingly created by Ayo. After we had the first demo, Geko wrote a verse, and we instantly fell in love with it. We knew it was the right match.”
The result is a heater — all tight basslines, heavy-set percussion, and vocals that shimmer with intent — a record that’s both dancefloor-ready and emotionally raw.
Sammy’s versatility is no accident. A self-taught guitarist and pianist who later studied production and sound engineering in London, his artistry comes from years of experimentation and honing his skills. Originally set on studying psychology, he pivoted to music when it became clear that was his true purpose.
