Glitter alt queen tiLLie revels in chaos in her new single and video “Flip a Switch,” available to stream now on YouTube and all DSPs worldwide. The video features captivating visuals and innumerable wardrobe changes that match the ecstatic energy of the song. It was directed by Canadian writer & producer Brad Peyton, known for his work on Daybreak (2019), Rampage (2018), and San Andreas (2015).
“‘Flip a Switch’ feels like the beginning of a new era for me,” she explains. “I was finally able to channel elements from some of my biggest influences like Beastie Boys, early Eminem, and Rage Against the Machine in a way that feels singular to me.”
tiLLie was discovered by Machine Gun Kelly + Kevin Lyman during a sold-out acoustic performance in LA in December of 2016. Her infectious songs might seep into your head but this self-proclaimed ‘anti-pop star’ transcends the predisposed boundaries + limits of the genre with her DIY + hands-all-over approach. Coinciding with her first tour, a two-week stint on Warped Tour, tiLLie independently released 3 singles that went on to be featured in Rock Band, played on BBC Radio 1, led to a feature in The Fader, and landed her as one of Alternative Press’ ‘Ten Artist Set to Detonate Your Complacency.’ Per the personal request of the artist LIGHTS, tiLLie closed out 2019 as direct support for her sold-out tour across the US and Canada + opened for Soccer Mommy at Arizona State University before buckling down to record her debut album with hit producer ROBOPOP (Marina, Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX).
