Drenched in rich intertwining vocal harmonies, this album showcases the band’s dexterity and finesse for songwriting.

From the uplifting, foot-stomping, ‘Why Not Now,’ to the delicate and heart-wrenching, ‘Wish You Luck,’ ‘ it’s an album that takes the listener on a powerful voyage of love, loss, reflection and hope.

Lyrically, the duo expertly and elegantly weave through tales of life experiences as well as expressing their commitment to the important topics of today such as the album’s title track, ‘Damage Control.’ that addresses mental health awareness.

Tell us about the genesis of your project Damage Control.

Damage Control is a collection of songs from moments in time. The title track was written at a time when life was feeling tricky, and so it describes a few of our negative emotions, and how we can use those emotions as a power rather than being dictated to by them. We then thought that each song seemed to have a different feeling about it, so we named the album this too!

How did you get to where you are now?

The road has been very long and windy, so in short, with a lot of determination, and a lot of laughter along the way! We are so lucky to have had the people around us, and the followers we have gained over the years to keep us on the road, and keep us doing what we love the Most.

What should a song or piece of art communicate in your opinion?

An emotion. We are very emotional and reflective people, and so we love to connect that to music too. As we all know, music is so powerful, it can literally save lives, and so we hope that our music can help at least one person feel less alone, or simply make them feel good.

Who were your top 3 artists last year?

Hannah – First Aid Kit, NF, Lana Del Rey.

What do you do when you’re feeling uninspired?

Go for a run or play games. Drink Tea and have a good old moan!

What are your 2022 projects and goals?

To get this album out and work towards a new one. We can’t wait for the next little musical baby to be made!

Favourite movie or TV show?

Han – Afterlife.

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about.

After writing lots over a year or so, we took ourselves off to a little Devonshire village and spent 4 days writing/finishing and collecting a bunch of songs. We then were lucky enough to record with Saul Davies (James) in his little hut in Scotland. He brought the song’s to life and has given us a new revamped sound. We are so excited to share it with people.

What is something you would want to change in the music and entertainment industry?

We would make it less brutal! Give more opportunities to people without money to help them achieve, and put way more Women into the limelight.

Can you outline your creative process?

Usually we start with a life crisis, get a tune, and add some words, and bob’s your uncle!

Who inspires your style and aesthetics?

Everyone and everything. It’s hard to pinpoint a particular influencer, because everything is an influence, from your partner to the student you just taught. Life just keeps throwing inspiration at ya… if you are not too tired!

What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?

Probably our 30 second appearance on TFI Friday. It was so surreal we sometimes still think it was a dream!

What do you think an artist should sing about nowadays?

Anything they want to sing about. Whatever makes them better or happy and enables them to use their voice.

Do you have any regrets?

Never. We have learnt that there is just no point in them. We wouldn’t be exactly where we are today if the path was different, and we are both pretty content with life. We both have a good balance of work and home life, and that’s all we can wish for.

What is some piece of advice you would give to yourself right now?

Don’t put that weird cream on your face again mate, because it’s given you a reeeeallly bad rash.
