Tell us about the genesis of your project. How did you get to where you are now?

(Peter) It was a late night at Flula’s place and he told us he had this crazy news to tell us. We thought for sure it was that he was moving back to Germany or had decided to become virtual like us (Peter’s being dying to virtualize him) but he dropped the news to us. He was going to be in Suicide Squad. Pretty sure in that moment we are all just like – so we’re making an EP based on the characters right?

What is the favorite song you wrote and why?

(Ivan) Definitely Javelin. It was so fun to make and Flula was so inspired by that one. Plus, we got to work with Reggie who we’ve been dreaming of working with ever since we arrived here in the 2020’s.

Who are your all time musical icons?

(Peter) Well from our time in the future we’d have to say @symbiosis, wormhole81,, The SpaceBabes, (97^42) and αβπ. When αβπ showed what could be done when you combine literally put serotonin and dopamine bumps into a track our minds were blown. From what we’ve heard here Daft Punk is iconic but also the Bee Gees.

What are some things to do to keep your inspiration alive?

(Ivan) I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Parcor, flying around in my jetpack, skydiving, anything that gets me feeling out of control and it puts me in that zoned in mindset. That way when we’re in the studio I’m just wired to be zoned in. It’s all on our Tik Tok.

(Peter) Yea, look, Ivan likes to keep things on the inside but the truth is we miss our old lives in the year 3000. Thinking about that life, who we loved, how we got here, that kind of stuff inspires me. Maybe one day we’ll be reunited.

Who are you binge listening to these days?

(Peter) Lots of Fischer but also some of the newer house pop stuff like Valentino Khan.

Favorite movie or TV show?

(Peter) As of last week Suicide Squad. We went with Flula to the premiere. It’s going to blow your mind. Trust me, we’ve experienced full VR movie experiences where your hardwired to feel all the emotions of the main character and Suicide Squad totally held up.

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about

(Ivan) Basically, Flula told us he was going to be in this epic movie and Peter was just like let’s make an EP.

(Peter) Yea, obviously the first song we wanted to do was Javelin based on his character. I think he joked around that we should get Reggie on the song and I was just thinking we have to do that!

Do you have any peculiar pre or post show rituals?

(Peter) I’m not sure you’re ready for that in 2021. It’s pretty crazy what you can do when you’re virtual.

What’s the future looking like for you?

(Ivan) Tricky question for us haha

(Peter) I think I know what you mean, we have some really fun releases coming up. Maybe some more stuff with Alaska Thunderfuck who is just incredible to work with. She’s one of our favorite fully carbon based humans. She’s an inspiration.

What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?

(Peter) So far, in this time period, would have to go with the Javelin release. So fun getting to work with Reggie and Flula. They’re both so creative and it meant so much that they trusted us with the production and sonic vibe of everything.

What do you think is the best way to make it as an artist nowadays?

(Ivan) Be good to people. Be creative. Be free. Work with people you love and eventually you’ll collaborate with amazing people and together you all rise. Once you’re working with amazing people you’re making it.

What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?

(Ivan) See you in the metaverse. That’s all we can say for now.
