The critically acclaimed R&B-pop artist from Copenhagen has “been through all of the drugs at the club to find happiness”on‘Been Fru’ –the brand new single out this Friday December 10th with the long-awaited album, ‘Intervention’.

Life is full of addictions. Some addictions are life changing, some are for pleasure, some are for boosting self-esteem and adrenaline leading to both joyor danger-and some are just part of everyday life without you and me even noticing. Those addictions are exactly what Danish singer, Elias Boussnina, explores and processes on his debutalbum, ‘Intervention’.

The making of the new songs has been like a one on one “group therapy” session between Elias and all lifes’addictions creating an albumthat takes on anything fromdrugs, alcohol, money, power, comfort, sex, love and a general fascination of other people.“I’ve always tended to become really easily addicted to things –and without realisingit myself. Addictions are very exciting to write about and pretty quickly I knew it was gonna be a recurring theme for the album.

‘Been Fru’ is pure thought-frenzy. It’s a look back on all the things that used to feel just right but doesn’t anymore –about finding your path in life,” Elias says about the new single from ‘Intervention’.‘Been Fru’ isplayful, modern R&B that fusesBoussnina’simminentvoice with indie, pop and hip hop. It’snot like any other Elias Boussnina-song though, as the spherical beginning suddenly changed into an early 00s club-like anthem with a hard-hitting drum’n’bass beat. From then on,‘Been Thru Just keeps on building, adding new surprising layers of electronic dance music.
