What’s your story as an artist?
I grew up watching Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire and so I’m trying to actualize whatever fantasy I constructed as a child.
What inspired GROWN UP?
Growing up and buying groceries. Also Gwen Stefani and the general feeling of confusion.
Do you get inspired by other art forms?
Always! Interdisciplinary art is my favorite art. Movies, books, photos, food, you name it. A couple of big visual inspirations for Act I were Drop Dead Gorgeous and Pen15.
What inspired Peach Fuzz?
Friendship and Baby Boys.
What’s the most valuable lesson you learned while being a part of this supergroup?
Trader Joes is the best place to get snacks for a bunch of people.
What’s a record that shaped your artistry?
Soviety Kitsch by Regina Spektor.
Who is an artist or band you look up to today?
Carly Pearce.
What excites you the most about what you do?
Writing with my loved ones and meeting people on tour.
What is your view on genres and music styles since you mix a lot of them in your music?
I think music is fluid and genres can be confining. My favorite artists blend worlds and create their own.
What does music and art mean to you?
Water.
