LA soulful Chicana songwriter Emma Negrete has shared her new single & music video “Dreams & Dryspells,” available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide + YouTube. The pop-R&B track comes at a pivotal moment in Emma’s career, where she has gravitated towards a new sound and is releasing music independently for the first time.
“‘Dreams & Dryspells’ plays on the double meaning of ‘Dryspells’ and the adrenaline of when someone you’ve been entangled with starts playing games and the communication runs dry…leaving you feeling like they’ve casted a spell on you,” says Emma on the track.
“No one really talks about what it’s like surviving in between gigs, and I just want creatives who feel stuck in similar situations to know that there is a way out,” she says.
