Last time we spoke to Bay Area native pop singer/songwriter Audriix she told us that all of her songs “are drawn from personal experiences. I’m a storyteller and use music to share these stories so others hopefully can connect with them. I write a lot about relationships, both the good times and the bad. A lot of people tell me my life should be a TV show–I’ve had a lot of crazy and terrible relationship experiences–but as a songwriter, the silver lining of bad experiences is I can turn those stories into songs. I love to get really specific with my lyrics and share details that really paint a picture of the moment I’m writing about.”
Her latest release “Airstream” is no different! Written during the height of the pandemic, delivers a sonic anthem. With atmospheric synths and driving bass, ‘Airstream’ gives music to the feeling that we all felt, wanting to get away, escape, and feel the thrill of experiencing new sights rather than being stuck at home in quarantine. ‘Airstream’ drops right before Audriix heads off with Madison Beer, giving an reprise throughout Madison’s ‘Life Support Tour’ on the road and performing live once again.
“I played my last show on March 11, 2020, and the next day all tours got canceled for the rest of the year. After a year being stuck inside from the pandemic with no live shows, I had times of feeling very disheartened. ‘Airstream’ is my decision to leave the doubts behind, hit the road, and chase my dreams.” – Audriix
