Tell us about this project

My cover song started as a TikTok trend. When it gained traction with over 80k, I got with my producer on it, and he agreed it would make for a great full length cover song. I’ve been working with my voice instructor, Natalia Chase, going on 5 years, in which she introduced me to my producer, Colin Boyd.

How would you describe the highs and lows of being an artist?

As cliche as it may sound, my inspiration and creativity comes from the current feelings and emotions at the time, and has a lot to do with the connection I have to a song.

Who are your all time musical icons?

Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, Sia, Billie Ellish, Sam Smith, and many others. These are just a few.

How do you keep your creativity sharp?

I try to not take boredom for granted. Sometimes idle time is actually the best time for creativity to thrive.

Who is an artist that you look up to more than others today?

Olivia Rodrigo She inspires me with how creative she is and I just love all her songs.

Favorite movie or TV show?

My favorite movie is two hearts. Shows American Idol, AGT, The Voice and The Four.

What are some things you do to deal with anxiety and creative blocks?

Most of the time I try to find an adventure to go on, whether it’s hiking or tubing down the creek. Being out in nature is a great way to clear out all the chatter in my head which sometimes allows important topics to come to the forefront to be focused on a little better. Sometimes it leads to something, sometimes not lol.

What’s the future looking like for you?

Hopefully pretty bright!! I think everyone hopes for a bright future. I’m just trying to get started on this musical journey!

Who inspires your style and aesthetics?

This changes every so often, but I’m currently digging Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae! I love them both!

What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?

I think releasing this song, even though it’s a cover, is my proudest moment because it’s like I’m stepping into a more official and professional role.

What do you think is the best way to make it as an artist nowadays?

I wish I knew the answer lol! I’m currently trying to figure this out myself! So far, I’ve had a great support group between my parents and voice coach that has helped me try to find the right path.

What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?

Well, considering this is the farthest I’ve come within the music industry, all I can say is that there is no clear path or runway lights that guide you to where you want to go. It’s more like a labyrinth and you just hope that whatever rabbit hole you go down and whomever you come in contact with is genuine and honest and has your best interest at heart, because we all know it’s a big crazy world out there and not everyone is who they say they are or who they seem to be. Luckily, I haven’t had any negative experiences, but it has been a concern of mine…
