They say great stories always come in three parts: The Lord of the Rings, the original Star Wars movies, and even the Matrix Trilogy. Today, we are thrilled to introduce the concluding single in Naomi Jane‘s “Letterman Trilogy,” marking the culmination of another perfect trifecta set to achieve greatness.

The “Letterman Trilogy” serves as a narrative arc, exploring different aspects of Naomi Jane’s personal growth and self-discovery. Following the critically acclaimed anthems “Pretty Boys” and “Little Miss,” “Grown Ups” serves as the final piece in this story, the end chapter to wrap up everything on a high note.

In “Pretty Boys,” Naomi delved into the disillusionment of a love that wasn’t real, capturing the pain and anger of unfulfilled expectations. Through vivid imagery and heartfelt lyrics, she paints a portrait of a relationship built on lies and manipulation. “Little Miss” took a different turn, shifting the focus to self-empowerment and the reclamation of self-worth. On this track, Naomi asserts herself and takes control of her narrative. She reclaims her power, rejecting the limiting expectations placed on her by society.

“In each of my music videos, I use a vintage letterman’s jacket as the symbolism of a boy, any boy really. In ‘Pretty Boys’, the girl is the victim. She loses the boy that she thought he was, it’s about coming to terms and raging about a love that wasn’t real. From the victim we move to ‘Little Miss’ and that song is about self-acceptance and empowerment! In ‘Little Miss’ she steals the boy, gets the jacket, asserts herself, and claims her self-worth. In ‘Grown Ups’ you get to see how the story ends. She leaves the jacket. It’s an evolution.”

With “Grown Ups,” Naomi Jane brings us full circle, completing her journey of self-discovery. The track centers around youthful love, highlighting how intoxicating and exhilarating passion can be. However, it also warns of the potential to get burned in this intense process. Ultimately, the message is clear: we must all grow up and take responsibility for our actions.

Focusing more on the song itself, Naomi’s voice is truly a delight to the senses combined with very intense and emotional lyrical work. Both come together to form an experience like no other. It is worth pointing out that just like the previous singles, we also get a video to accompany the tune. The video features Naomi sharing and signing alongside her lover. In a simple but effective way, the visuals perfectly capture the emotions of the song. It is a beautiful piece of art that conveys the message of the track in a powerful way. Overall, it is an impressive release from Naomi Jane and is sure to become one of her biggest hits.

“Originally, this song was called Solo Cups. It was basically a song talking about teens, trucks, beer, and heartbreak. Working with my amazing producer Kayla Diamond, we fleshed out the symbolism to express my understanding of love and this song bloomed into a beautiful piece of music illustrating the fragility of young love.”
