Cannes-based artist French Original bridges the many gaps between dance music and electro-pop. His debut single “History” sent a shotgun blast into the dance music landscape with more than 4 million cumulative streams before the release of his official remix for deadmau5 and The Neptunes’ “Pomegranate” solidified French Original as one of the freshest new faces in the global dance music landscape. Continuing his ascent to the upper echelons of contemporary dance music, French Original returns in valor with his forthcoming EP Souvenir.

With the announcement of the EP, French Original releases the project’s debut single “Stay” A well-balanced electro-pop triumph with an edgy swing track, industrial synths, and slick vocals to match, French Original’s latest is tailored to any listening experience. Coinciding with the release, French Original will open as direct support for deadmau5 on June 10 at Brixton Academy London and June 13 at 103 in Tilburg.

“I’ve always wanted to do an electro-pop/swing track and actually first came up with the bass line by singing it into my phone as a memo. After building a bit of the music around the main riff, the melody and story went down. “Stay” is about not being able to say the things you really feel and want to say to someone.

Sometimes it hurts so much and you go round in circles and it makes it worse when the simplest thing to do to relieve that pain is to say what you want to say. “Stay” is the first release from my new EP Souvenir out July 8th (Souvenir in French means memories). I hope it gives the listeners a glimpse of the stories and sounds that make up the person I am.” French Original
