As the world goes back to what it once was, KinetiX has stepped onto the scene with an energetic new single about living life in the excess…and the splitting hangover that comes with it.
The talented brother trio are living in the fast lane with their latest party-pop anthem Red Line – a song that knows how to groove with its fat synth beats, fun lyrics, and an unmatched energy that will have you sipping on the hair of the dog and ready for round two.
Red Line touches on the vices that accompany late nights, hazy days and hacking hangovers; the epitome of a good time in the post-pandemic world.
In addition to providing a slate of banging rhythms and big drops, Red Line has been purposefully produced in a way that transports the listener into the depths of a maniacal bender.
In fact, the thumping beat heard at the first drop was inserted as a means to mimic the thumping inside one’s head following a heavy night out in town.
How did you become an artist?
We are 3 brothers, our parents sent us to music lessons when we were young, first learning Classical music and then traditional Irish music. We began playing together at a young age, our debut being on the late late toy show in 2010, when we played irish music for ryan tubs.
How do you think this record is different from your past ones?
With every song we produce, we are defining our unique sound, and getting closer to the desired sound.
Favourite track on the record and why?
Red Line, is definitely our favourite song we produced so far, we love it
Any funny anecdotes from the time you were recording or writing the album?
Nothing hysterical, but there would always be someone who falls asleep in the studio, if we are working for long hours.
What are the dynamics within the band? Who writes the lyrics, who’s in charge of arranging the tunes etc?
Ademar writes the chord structure, and melodies, Theodore writes the lyrics, and when they have an acoustic song, they bring it to me (Arthur) in the studio, where I make the beats and add all the elements to make the foundation of the track, until we have the finished product.
What’s a record that shaped your creativity?
Dermot Kennedy – Power over me
The Chainsmokers – Takeaway
Who is an artist or band you look up to these days?
Dermot Kennedy, Jon Belion, The chainsmokers
Any future projects?
We are continuously producing music from our studio, we plan to release singles on an ongoing basis, every 6 – 8 weeks
What does music mean to you?
Music is what we do for enjoyment, we are not very sporty, but we really enjoy getting into the studio for a practice or a recording session.
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard you?
We emalgemate a variety of different genres, EDM, Electro-pop, acoustic, and mainstream pop. We love playing with synths, and funky beats
