Lucho RK presents “SORDO DE UN PIE,” his first studio album, built around the idea of moving forward without knowing for sure whether you are doing things right. This creative project features sixteen songs spanning reggaeton, bolero, bossa nova, and electronic music.
In the interlude and title track, “SORDO DE UN PIE,” Lucho emphasizes that falling is part of the journey. “Life is a dance, and I’m deaf in one foot,” he sings, reflecting on learning to lose, acknowledging what he does not know, and getting distracted by his phone until he forgets to look around or call home. References to his parents make this a deeply personal piece, where humor and self-awareness coexist with affection for who he has been since childhood.
The two previously released singles, “AIRE” and “LOLA,” convey the spirit of the album. “AIRE” captures the intensity of an attraction that begins with the urge to dance. A classic reggaeton melody accompanies romantic lyrics in which Lucho describes an attraction so intense that it leaves him breathless.
On “LOLA,” he surprises listeners with a turn toward contemporary bolero, exploring the pull of a relationship that persists despite the harm it causes. Acknowledging the damage doesn’t make it easier to walk away, as emotional dependency becomes tangled with the idea of love. The result is a relationship story that examines why we sometimes hold on to what hurts us.
“CONTIGO” is about the beautiful kind of love you feel in the little things, like a call that brightens your day, a late-night conversation, or just having someone to listen when you need to cry. Lucho knows that time passes and that we cannot control what comes next, but he wants to share what he has now with that person. Dancing appears again as a reference to love and companionship. The song conveys the comfort of feeling that you can be yourself with someone and that even an ordinary day becomes better by their side. Rather than reggaeton, it sounds like a kind of march, with his voice taking center stage.
The collaborations explore those emotions from different angles. Daniela Garsal joins Lucho on “RESACA EMOCIONAL,” a pop duet about the vulnerability that follows a breakup, while Sech appears on “SENTADILLA,” a danceable track driven by attraction. On “VAMOS PALLÁ,” the album’s focus track, Alleh joins him for a blend of reggaeton and merengue that brings the connection between desire and dancing into focus.
“SORDO DE UN PIE” is a very romantic album. The rhythms change, but Lucho continues to explore love in all its forms, ranging from the warmth of someone’s company and pure sexual attraction to the desire to dance together and the melancholy left in the wake of a breakup. There is a mix of desire, tenderness, and memories that still hurt, proving that these conflicting emotions can coexist when we love someone.
The next step will be to bring these songs to the stage with the SORDO DE UN PIE Tour, which includes stops in Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, and Valencia, as well as shows at the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas and the Movistar Arena in Madrid. It will be an opportunity to share the stories of love, desire, and relationships gone wrong. Dates and presale links are available on his official website.
