These are a few basic things to introduce you to English rockers ‘The Clockworks’ and their latest release. However, there’s more.
The tune was “inspired by the idea of a certain excitement you get, on a Summer’s evening as the Sun is setting and everything feels alive.”
Their inspirations vary from music, TV, cinema and more
“It’s all trying to get at the same bigger picture of people’s attempt to express ideas and emotions. Shows like Fleabag and I May Destroy You were inspiring.
Films like Joker, The Godfather, Trainspotting, Monty Python. Some of the poetry of Yeats, T.S Eliot, Blake, Wilfred Owen, Emily Dickinson. Writers like Zadie Smith, Oscar Wilde, Nabokov, Jack Kerouac. There’s so much inspiring stuff out there, if you keep curious you can never run out.”
Fashion inspo: “1950’s Brando’s style.”
“Suit trousers with white shirt, t shirt or the Beatnik roll neck. I like sports jackets too. I’m a fan of wearing that with a Nike or Adidas t-shirt. For it to be almost something from the 50’s but with the small tick or three stripes to force it to be modern.”
