Australian-bred, LA-based singer-songwriter VASSY is powering through 2024 in glamorous fashion.
Following last month’s release of her 7-track LP SUPREME, VASSY has already received numerous impressive accolades – including multiple album tracks featuring throughout hit TV shows like Netflix’s Selling Sunset, MTV’s Teen Mom, and FOX’s Beat Shazam. Her recent single ‘KRAZY’ also reached #3 on the Dance Radio Chart and #4 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart.
Why did you pick Disco Fries for the “Supreme” remix? What is your relationship like with them?
I know the Guys. We have a history, as well as 2x #1 Records, so it was an easy choice.
Why did you choose this track for a remix?
I love this song, and it is the leading single off my newest album and the title of the LP. So I wanted something fun and fresh to go with the release that acts as an extension of the album.
How do you approach a remix from a creative standpoint?
You always want a remix to give the song a new life, extend the life of the song, and give it a fresh perspective.
Why is this remix so important to you?
I am an artist and I am sensitive about my art so every release to me is important – I always want people to enjoy the music.
What else can we expect from you this year?
I have a new release coming out in MAY that I am excited about called “Midnight”, made with UK hit producers Punctual. I’m also on my way now to Australia to do a Big Festival Bass In The Grass, and also will be receiving a very special award next week in Sydney from APRA. I will be amongst industry peers and champions of mine who were there from the beginning of my career. The award is called the Billions Award and it is a career milestone for my song “BAD” with David Guetta reaching over 2 Billion streams.
