Tell us about your latest release and how it came about:
“MONEY” was one of the first songs I wrote for a concept album I have coming out next year. The track’s production features several “money” sample sounds: a bag of coins hitting the floor, a cash register sample, and a bill counter. Lyrically, it’s one of the first songs I’ve released written from a third person perspective.
Who are your all time musical icons?
Some of my biggest musical icons are Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Selena, Amy Winehouse, Buena Vista Social Club, Rosalía.
Who are you binge listening to these days?
Binge listening to Sevdaliza, Greentea Peng, and Noga Erez.
Favorite movie or TV show?
Ugh these ones are always so hard but I love anything by Guillermo del Toro, Tim Burton, Greta Gerwig or Julie Taymor. As far as TV, I’m a big Survivor bitch.

Do you have any peculiar pre or post show rituals?
Pre-show ritual: McDonald’s fries and vocal warmups. Post show ritual: Mexican food.
What’s the future looking like for you?
Sexy.
Who inspires your style and aesthetics?
So much of my style and aesthetic are inspired by the art around me…live shows I see, books I read, film, local artists and those abroad. A lot of it is culture too, being raised Italian/Spanish Catholic has had a heavy influence on my aesthetic.
What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?
I’m most proud of myself for choosing to actually pursue my artistry, for consciously and intentionally choosing it everyday.
What do you think is the best way to make it as an artist nowadays?
Being 100% authentic.
What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?
More women/POC/LGBTQ executives.
