Ride into autumn with your windows down and Jonathan Plevyak’s “Dream Girl” playing through your speakers. Nashville’s favorite crooner released his latest single this past Friday. It is a hopeful and upbeat love song with a timeless groove in Jonathan’s signature retro rock style that was on display earlier this year on tour with Pokey LaFarge and during his headline show at Nashville’s Basement East in September.

“Dream Girl” is the third chapter of Jonathan’s “Loverboy” era, his upcoming second EP. “Loverboy” is a true concept record, with an overarching narrative that is accompanied by music videos, skits, and even a hand-drawn comic strip coinciding with each single.

Musically, “Dream Girl” is sleek and light, with electric piano throughout and a shimmering chorus, layered with rich harmonies. Above it all is Jonathan’s voice, where he showcases his impressive range and unmistakable tone. It the perfect fall romance song as we enter November; the epitome of warm, easy listening.

Jonathan’s recent show at The Basement East was themed as a vintage prom night, titled Jukebox Jam, and will be an annual event. There was a ’58 Thunderbird parked out front, fitted with a photobooth, as well as a thrift clothing pop-up inside. The dance floor was packed with a well-dressed audience absolutely loving the soulful tunes that went on for hours. Details for the 2nd Jukebox Jam will be announced soon.

“Loverboy” will be out in February next year, follow Jonathan’s Instagram for more information on his upcoming shows and future music releases.
