indie chart-topping Queer pop music artist Jxckson releases his brand new smash single SIREN, complete with an aesthetically astounding, attention-grabbing music video. Written by Jxckson and produced by fellow Austin-based artist Boy Sim, the song takes the listener on a synth-filled pop journey, giving pure “can’t get it out of my head” energy.
The music video is directed and edited by Trent Owen, conceptualized by Jxckson and choreographed by Ashley Sikes. It can be described as a culmination of hip hop, jazz and funk choreography, intermixed with early 2000s, K-Pop and spy movie influences.
Pulling from musical influences like SUNMI, Nicola Roberts, SAKIMA, STAYC and Tinashe, SIREN sees Jxckson on a mission to take the music industry (and a few lovers) by storm in his unapologetic journey to the top. The music video follows Jxckson and his two dancing accomplices known as “The SIRENS” (played by Hayley Sikes and Nicole Kopren) on the run, as an obsessed ex-detective (played by actor Jason Rhodes) closes in on their tracks.
“SIREN has a special place in my heart because it’s a pivotal crossroad of my passion for music, dance, and music videos. Seeing it all come together feels like I get to reintroduce myself as the artist I’ve been working towards. For this reason, I like to consider SIREN dedicated to the underdogs fighting to be seen and fighting for their moment. I see SIREN as that moment for me and a new beginning as I continue to grow as an artist.”
