For our readers who missed our coverage of “Dark Place,” what should they know about you and what got you here?

As far as I can remember, I’ve always loved music. Through middle school me and my friends would always freestyle in the locker room and all over the school and at home. One day me and a friend decided to make a track on GarageBand iOS with the wired apple headphones. After finishing and posting it, my sisters ex boyfriend (Bosquet) swiped up on my story and said he liked what he heard. He then asked me to send him some demos, which I didn’t have. All I had were some voice memos of me free-styling so I sent him a few of those, he then told me to come in for a session and the rest is history.

What does music and being an artist mean to you?

Music means everything to me. Music is what I am and I don’t know where id be without it. Being an artist means that I can be who I want to be and express what I want to express.

What are some sources of inspiration for your lyrics and storytelling?

My inspiration comes from my everyday life. From conversations with friends to arguments with girls to how much I love or hate something. There’s always something to talk about and I’m always wanting to record so it just goes together.

All time favorite record?

My favorites are always changing but one I could always say is ‘Heaven or Las Vegas’ by The Weeknd

Tell us about your latest release and how it came about

Too Deep came about when Ahrya (Bosquet) played me an old project he started and I fell in love. It was a very rough, skeleton of what is now Too Deep. At the time I was in a situation I felt I was way too far in to let go and that’s where the lyrics came from

You seem to be fusing several musical genres. What inspires your sound?

I’ve been listening to really emotional music ever since a young age. Influences like Trilogy, Mockingbird and Justin Timberlake mixed with new age hip hop and a bunch of other genres like rock, soul, and even EDM.

What are some creative challenges you’ve faced, and how did you overcome them?

One of the most frustrating creative challenges I face all the time is writers block and there’s really no way around it other than taking a few steps back and breathing.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself continuing my journey in music. I see me and all the people I’m surrounded by leveled up in our own zone changing the world. I see myself and my team doing what we’re manifesting now.

Your style is very original and elaborate. How do you take care of your aesthetics?

I’ve never cared about what anyone has to say about me, whether it’s what I wear how I sound or what I look like. I’ve just always been doing me and its finally starting to catch on

What was the most daunting moment in your career so far?

Luckily, I’ve been surrounded by great people who help me through any struggles so I’m lucky to say I haven’t really had any daunting moments yet,

Where do you think the next game changer will be in the music industry and entertainment scene?

Covid has really changed the industry as a whole. It’s nice to see live performances back up and running again and I hope we never have to face another situation like this again. Tik-Tok has also taken the music industry by storm and I feel like it is going to be the largest marketing platform for years to come.
