Roses N Guns follows Skott’s recent EP A Letter from the Universe – which saw its tracks used in Netflix’s original series Young Royals and in a global campaign revealing the new Apple Watch Ultra – and critically-acclaimed debut album Always Live For Always which shot her to overnight stardom, won her a co-sign from Lorde, and established her as one of music’s most exciting new artists.

Documenting her self-discovery, growth, and creative metamorphosis in real-time, Skott wrote Roses N Guns in the solitude of a mountain cabin without water or electricity to reconnect with her roots and find power and energy in the things she loved when she was younger – all with the goal of inspiring others to reconnect with themselves as well.

“The album’s been a journey, both in the songwriting process and if you listen through the tracklist in order. I had fun really linking each song to the cover artwork as well. I like to build a world around every release and this one was no exception.

It’s literally a treasure map with different songs as different environments, each inspired by stories from my childhood all the way up to what I’m feeling current day. That, together with the name of the album which is wordplay on “Skott” in Swedish, representing “life and death” and “love and heartbreak,” sum up the themes throughout the album.”
