“My way” is a song that’s talking about authenticity and following your true self, without any shame, guilt or fear. Just like the video itself, the song is built on the contrast between the different angles; while most of the song encourages personal confidence in thyself, the verses are forming a dialogue and telling a story about a copycat – someone who is heavily influenced by someone else and does or says exactly the same as them.

“I think it’s beautiful to be inspired, but it’s also important for the artist to follow the instinctual urge or the intuitive inner voice to do something authentic. For me, creativity is the eternal path of discovering and surrendering to those two forces“.

“It feels good to express without inhibitions. Everybody has a unique part to show to the world or the community.”

This time, Tyya made a music video with a little help from her friends, using her room again, but transforming it into “some kind of an office space, with the security camera in it”.

“Because of the script I wrote, which included many different shots and angles, it was technically impossible to shoot the music video all by myself. So I asked my friend, who is also a photographer, if he could shoot the video, while another friend took care of the lights and played the song’s parts, while we were shooting the scenes. I could almost focus being in front of the camera, but there was a script to take care of, always checking if everything is right (laughs).”
