Rising artist Annie Scherer is dropping her new single “Aludra.” This release follows Annie’s runner-up finish in major Nashville competition, Music City Mayhem, and her festival performance at Musician’s Corner.

This dark-pop tune was written by Annie Scherer and Nick Guttmann (Grammy award-winning, writing credits: Knox, John Harvie, Hayden Joseph.) It was recorded in Nashville, and produced by Kelley Cole.  This release follows Annie’s recent social media momentum, with a viral reel hitting close to 1M views, and content collaboration with Bryce Vine.

“Aludra” is about a whirlwind romance that crashes and burns, intertwined with the possibility of second chances. It’s nostalgic in its nature, and hopeful for the future. The title refers to the blue supergiant star, Aludra, and draws metaphors between love, and a flame that glows brightly before dying out.

Aludra’ is about reflecting and giving second chances. I wanted to draw a metaphor between stars shining brightly before they die out, and a whirlwind relationship that crashes and burns.”
