Emerging music artist Sir Christopher Saint releases his debut single “God Made Me Gay” The euphoric pop track, penned by Sir Christopher Saint and by Brooke Tomlinson, one of his favorite songwriters, is a true labour of love and powerful anthem for anyone who wants to tell their truth and live their authentic selves despite being afraid or conditioned to conform.
Inspired by Sir Christopher Saint’s own journey to acceptance, “God Made Me Gay” is a deeply reflective and honest track pulling from the love and acceptance created out of the LGBTQ+ community and blended with Sir Christopher Saint’s dynamic vision for his artist project.
Tell us about you
Being an artist is such a gift. I feel like music has been the witness to my journey and process of blossoming into the person I’ve always wanted to become. I’ve always loved music because of the boundless self-expression we explore within it. It feels good to be at the point in my career now where I feel free enough to authentically speak my truth.
What is the favorite song beside ‘God Made Me Gay’?
Besides “God Made Me Gay” which is my mission statement as an artist, I recently wrote a song called “Colorado.” It’s about risking it all for love and letting yourself not be afraid to fall for someone. I wrote it about someone I met who helped change me for the better and led me to believe in love again. It’s the most emotional song and performance I’ve ever created.
Who influences your music?
I was obsessed with the Spice Girls and Britney Spears growing up. Still am. I love Lady Gaga. I love what she stands for as an artist and how she is so versatile. She exudes artistic liberation.
How do you keep yourself inspired?
I let myself live and love as freely and fearlessly as possible. I think living art is just as important as creating it. For me, there’s nothing more inspiring than having a muse who makes you just want to sing or write all day.

What’s the future looking like for you?
I’m so excited to be releasing so much more new music this summer.
Who inspires your style and aesthetics?
A blend of 80’s glam rock, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian
What is the achievement or moment in your career you are the most proud of and why?
I wrote the song to McDonald’s first-ever House of Pride campaign. It was a historic moment having McDonald’s lean into the queer community in such a monumental way and to be a part of it was just a dream.
What do you think is the best way to make it as an artist nowadays?
To focus on being as truthful as possible. We need more truth-tellers in the space.
What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?
I would love to see even more diversity and inclusivity within the mainstream. I think the more we can broaden the mainstream conversation and profile to include all different types of voices, the better served our society will be. Representation matters, and in 2021, there is still so much homophobia, misogyny, racism – and everything else in between. For me, a changed industry will be uplifting marginalized voices to bring about more change, inspiration and impact.
