Adrian Cota debuts his self-titled EP with six songs that formally introduce a solo artist who has spent years quietly building one of the most eclectic résumés in Latin music. The release arrives at a very significant moment for the Mexican artist, who was recently highlighted by Rolling Stone en Español on its prestigious The Future 25 list, which identifies creators transforming Latin music. This distinction supports the work of a musician who is by no means an amateur but rather a songwriter and producer with a solid track record.
Adrián is not an improviser but a composer and producer with a solid track record, and this EP bears his own name because it functions as a direct introduction between the artist and his audience. “PDV” stands as the centerpiece of the project, bringing together the elements that define his sound through a foundation in regional Mexican music shaped by influences from soul, funk, and pop, resulting in a fresh and contemporary approach.
Several singles paved the way leading up to the EP, with “Boujee” marking his solo debut. It earned him his first appearance at Premios Juventud and quickly drew attention from both media and audiences. “South Bae” came next, a Los Angeles–recorded track that expanded his sound with a cinematic visual and sonic approach. Both songs prepared the ground for the release of this EP, which is now completed with “No Era La Bebida,” “MIA,” “Hiere,” and the aforementioned “PDV.”
Recently, Cota took his music to Miami as part of the UNSIN Music Festival, where he performed his singles and previewed new material for a live audience. He also shared the stage as a special guest with Manuel Medrano and Matisse at the Auditorio Nacional, one of Mexico’s most iconic venues.

It is fundamental to recognize the experience Adrian Cota has accumulated before taking this step alone. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Cota has shared the stage with icons like Herbie Hancock and Arturo Sandoval. Furthermore, he was a key piece in the project Cody & The Tide alongside Cody Simpson, achieving a position in the top 10 on iTunes charts, and collaborated with Apple to compose and produce the official MLS anthem alongside Take A Daytrip and Fuerza Regida.
Adrian Cota has a clear vision and a well-defined musical identity that does not need rigid labels. This EP is a collection of honest songs that blend his cultural roots with contemporary genres in a very natural way. This release is the formal introduction of an artist who spent years building in silence and whose debut arrives with the weight of a career already well underway.
