Tell us about your story as an artist

It all started with me in the basement. Me and my cousin used to perform for the family back in the day. Doing other artists’ songs from shows and stuff like that. We used to do songs from Empire actually. That’s really how it started.

Then I started doing talent shows for school and stuff like that. Then I ran into my uncle who had just gotten out of jail and he put me in the studio. I was a young kid doing all types of stuff. He put me in the studio and that’s all it was. Just doing all types of things, making a lot of music.

What do you think is the most important aspect of your life right now?

That my momma is happy.

What makes this song special in your opinion?

No one has made a song like it, and I’m starting to realize that. Because every time I listen to it, I realize, it’s got a different flow. No one has ever come like that. It’s a representation of something that’s happened within my story. Also, the video, I don’t see too many black & white videos no more. That song has really touched people’s hearts though.

What inspired this track?

I don’t know why I make any song, it’s just a feeling within my heart at the moment. It just makes me want to go out to the studio and spill my heart out. So I’ll say that it was what I was thinking at the time. I was on the bus with my cousin when I made that song. I was on my way to the studio and then I made that song.

What are some of the core messages here?

This is what goes on in the hood. Like it’s just my story, my representation of what goes on in the hood. So a lot of people listen to it and they’ll take a lot of different things from it. I just want people to feel it at heart.

How do you think tik tok and social media are contributing to change an artist’s career?

I’m not on tik tok so I can’t really speak to it. I don’t think I need it for my career. There’s plenty of artists that have made it without it today. There definitely are people that have made it off of tik tok. I feel like it’s just something people say you need but you don’t need it if you got real talent. It probably does help but I don’t use it like that. I like triller because I like to make my own little music videos. I use Instagram cause that’s my platform and that’s what people use.

What excites you about your life?

Making my music. My family. I’m happy my momma doesn’t have to stay in Cleveland no more.

What are some of your core values as a human being?

Loyalty and honesty, that’s all. If you are honest about something and loyal to the fact, — you gotta be loyal to the fact and to you, that way you can’t be mad about nothing else.

What are your projects for this year?

Strictly 4 the voiceless coming soon, it’s going to touch everybody’s soul throughout the world, it’s coming soon man. I got a lot of future projects coming, no names or none of that just yet, but a lot of stuff coming stay on the lookout for it. I’m working on a lot of music right now for my next few projects so look out. I appreciate everyone man and them taking time out of their days to be a part of it.
