Embodied electronica manifests through Arula’s earthly, tantric voice, connecting to our inner consciousness to channel powerful messages regarding our united strength. This universal truth is cracked open wide by Arula, digging deeper into our collective reality with hypnotic synths and strings enrobing a sensual vocal that calls for unity.
The song’s message challenges the conditioned fear of the unknown and urges us to remain open to the universe’s highest path. “We live in an age where the undeniable ills of consumerism, authoritarianism, censorship, and capitalism are surfacing amidst a backdrop of media and political perspectives that encourage us to see our differences rather than our similarities,” Arula explains. “This song asks us to question everything before fortifying it into a belief that can potentially close us off to the opinions of others.”
What do you think is the most important aspect of your life right now?
I would say making space for my creativity is definitely one of the most important aspects of my life right now; making the time to focus on the many aspects of my music career while maintaining balance in my self-care routine is crucial for me. It’s a journey and it’s not always easy, but I’m grateful that I chose this path.

The song’s message challenges the conditioned fear of the unknown and urges us to remain open to the universe’s highest path. How do you think TikTok and social media are contributing to changing an artist’s career?
While I do think there are many benefits to these platforms I also feel as though it puts a lot of pressure on artists to constantly be “content creators.” I’m so grateful that social media has connected me with so many incredible people all over the world, but I also feel as though it is an added pressure and can at times create an atmosphere of “quantity over quality.”
I love discussing this with fellow creators because I think it’s such an important topic, having conversations with others has reminded me that I don’t have to give in to any societal pressures; I choose to create for the love of creating rather than expecting to gain followers or accrue likes.
What excites you about your life?
Right now I feel grateful to say that so many things are feeling exciting; writing new songs, playing music, collaborating, traveling to share music, upcoming festivals, and really witnessing the resilience of humans during these interesting times.

Be curious, stay open, follow your inner compass, and never compare yourself to others.
What are your projects for this year?
I’m working on a number of collaborations, music videos, my first NFT, and also calling in the perfect team members for my live show. I can’t wait to share more about that soon!
