The electronic producer expands his creative universe beyond music with a unisex scent inspired by Rome, Tokyo, Brazil, Las Vegas, and the sensory memories collected across years on the road
For KAAZE, inspiration has apparently never stopped at sound.
The producer and DJ has spent more than two decades thinking in terms of energy, atmosphere, momentum, and emotion, but another sense has been quietly influencing that process all along: scent.
Now, after more than two years of development, that relationship has become tangible with Pistache, a new unisex luxury fragrance created by KAAZE in collaboration with Fragrance Du Bois.
The partnership might initially seem like an unexpected detour for an electronic artist whose career has revolved around festivals, clubs, and massive-scale production. For KAAZE, however, fragrance has long been folded into the way he understands music.
“I lead with my nose, as much as my ear, when I’m writing music,” he explains. “If I want to create a summer, Ibiza-style record, I reach for notes of citrus and coconut, fresh aromatics that then influence the tempo, key, and in turn the musical notes I produce.”
That synesthetic approach sits at the center of Pistache.
Rather than treating perfume as a side project or branded extension, KAAZE approached the fragrance with the same obsessive refinement he brings to production. A collector with more than 200 perfumes, he worked closely with Fragrance Du Bois, with additional input from Dalia Izem at Givaudan, repeatedly adjusting and rebuilding the scent over the course of two years.
The result is something designed to translate KAAZE’s musical identity into another medium: bold without becoming overpowering, polished without losing energy, and luxurious while still retaining movement.
Even the individual notes function almost like fragments of a tour diary.
The fragrance opens with creamy pistachio, caramel drizzle, and wild hibiscus, pulling inspiration from KAAZE’s relationship with Rome and memories of touring through Tokyo. It then moves into coconut, Brazilian coffee, and jasmine, before settling into a base of Madagascar vanilla, bourbon cream, and soft musk, with the final warmth drawing from the energy of Las Vegas.
If a record can evoke a city without naming it, Pistache attempts something similar through scent.
Each stage of the fragrance carries a geographical association, but the composition ultimately feels less concerned with literal destinations than with the emotional residue those places leave behind. Travel becomes memory; memory becomes atmosphere; atmosphere becomes another form of composition.
It mirrors a career that has consistently operated at the intersection of precision and excess.
With collaborations and production credits connected to artists including Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Hardwell, more than 500 million streams worldwide, and a recurring presence in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll since 2021, KAAZE has built his reputation through music engineered for maximal impact.
But Pistache reveals another layer of that maximalism—one rooted in sensory detail.
The fragrance was given an early backstage introduction during KAAZE’s first of two appearances at Tomorrowland Belgium, where he shared it with collaborators and friends including Steve Aoki and Will Sparks. It’s an appropriately theatrical setting for something carrying the tagline:
“LOUD. LUSH. LIMITLESS. A FRAGRANCE MADE FOR HEADLINERS ONLY.”

And yet the project is perhaps most interesting when viewed beyond celebrity fragrance territory.
KAAZE’s description of composing through aroma suggests a broader creative philosophy where music, fashion, travel, memory, performance, and scent aren’t treated as separate categories. Instead, they become different outputs of the same instinct.
A citrus note can suggest Ibiza. Coconut can change the emotional temperature of a studio session. A city can become a bassline years after leaving it. A fragrance can preserve a moment that music might express differently.
That porous relationship between senses is what makes Pistache feel like a natural extension rather than an interruption.
Electronic music has always depended heavily on environment. The room matters. The lighting matters. Temperature matters. Bodies matter. The moment before a drop matters just as much as the drop itself.
Scent, in that sense, is simply another invisible piece of architecture.
With Pistache, KAAZE is attempting to bottle that architecture.
Not a soundtrack to a night out, exactly.
More like the memory of one after the music stops.
KAAZE’s Pistache, created in collaboration with Fragrance Du Bois, is available now exclusively through Fragrance Du Bois.
