On March 4th London-based independent alternative pop artist Zoë Zohar will release her much anticipated song ‘Lazy Sun’.
Lazy Sun completes the release of Zohar’s full debut EP ‘AmIAlive’: “As this EP is the first full body of work I’m sharing with the world, I wanted to release each song individually over a span of a year.
“Lazy Sun is the hope, it’s that something to hold on to, it’s the naive belief that everything will be okay and that youthful hope is internal”
I felt that each song deserved its moment, as each represents different stages of my development as an artist”. Zohar’s mysterious and contrasting sound – a blend of nostalgic emotive tones with futuristic electronic elements – has gradually become familiar among a committed and growing audience.
She gained substantial international recognition with her past releases, featured across UK, USA, Israeli, South American and European media outlets and playlists.
Over the past year, Zohar immersed her listeners in a world of upbeat melancholic ambience, as she took them on a journey of re-inventing herself in a new time and space, befriending the inner voices that have followed her from the start, and seeking escapism in a rapidly shifting world. However, with Lazy Sun, she strips back to nostalgia as she shares a naive outlook on a world she once knew.
“I want Lazy Sun to feel like the first rays of sun in spring. I want it to sound like a teenage summer when you’re trying to figure everything out, but also be young, free and hopeful. Knowing that in the midst of all the chaos, Lazy Sun – that moment of peace and content – will appear”.
